Arrivals & Collection Information

We aim to make arrivals and collections as calm and stress-free as possible for both cats and owners. The information below helps us organise the cattery smoothly and ensure every cat settles in comfortably.

Arrival & Collection Times

  • Standard arrival and collection times are within our opening hours of 9am–6pm
  • Where possible, we like arrivals before 5pm, this gives us more time to settle in your cat, and observe that they are settling in well.
  • When completing your booking form, we ask that you provide an estimated arrival time
  • While any time within opening hours is fine, sticking as closely as possible to your estimated time helps us organise room planning and care routines

On busier days, there may be other customers arriving or collecting around similar times. We kindly ask owners to allow a little flexibility and patience where needed, as this helps us keep arrivals calm and unhurried for all cats.

We also recommend allowing extra time for traffic or unexpected delays when planning your journey, particularly during busy travel periods.

Early or Out-of-Hours Arrangements

  • 8am arrivals or collections can sometimes be arranged by prior agreement with staff
  • If you arrive earlier than planned, you may need to wait if we are not yet available

If you are delayed:

  • In some circumstances, an out-of-hours collection may be arranged, although we try to keep this to a minimum. We already have a long working day due to our flexible timings.
  • Where possible and if space allows, we may be able to keep your cat until the following morning or day
  • Alternatively, you may arrange for someone else to collect your cat on your behalf

The same approach applies to both arrivals and collections.

On Arrival

On the day of arrival, please:

  • Bring your cat in a secure pet carrier
  • Ring the doorbell and wait in the office if it is unlocked
  • Please be patient, as we may be in the cattery cleaning or tending to our guests

Once we meet you:

  • You are welcome to come up and help settle your cat into their accommodation
  • If you prefer a quicker handover, have mobility considerations, are in a rush, or simply feel more comfortable doing so, you are very welcome to leave your cat with us and we will settle them in on your behalf

What to Bring

Please ensure you bring:

  • Your cat’s vaccination record
  • Any medication required (labelled)
  • Flea and parasite treatments must be fully up to date
  • Brush (optional). We don’t keep our own for hygiene reasons
  • Anything you feel will help your cat settle, including food, treats, bedding, blankets or toys (all optional)

Parking Information (Important)

Parking is available on our driveway only.
Please do not park on the lane, as it is regularly used by farm vehicles which may struggle to pass and this can cause inconvenience or potential damage to vehicles. We only say this as we would hate for anything to happen to your vehicle.

There is ample space on the driveway, even when staff vehicles are present — you are not blocking us in.

A Calm, Flexible Approach

We understand that travel delays and unexpected circumstances can happen. While we work within our opening hours, we always aim to be as accommodating as possible while maintaining calm routines for the cats in our care.

If you are unsure about timings or anticipate a delay, please let us know — we’re always happy to advise where we can.
